Regarding the poor RSS readers on WebOS, I encountered this problem but found a good free one that supports Google feeds at https://github.com/deliciousmorsel/Feeds
I find Feeder on webOS excellent, better than any of the readers I have tried on Android. Likewise for the twitter client, Carbon, which is much better than Twitter's official client on Android.
