"Positive" discrimination is the worst, and makes it pretty clear to everyone on the floor, that the person has been put where he/she is for reasons that have nothing to do with how he/she performs at work. I've seen it first hand, and it was quite embarrassing to watch a female member appointed to a specific committee just for the sake of having a women, that no one listened to, that clearly had no business there, etc...
People deciding what women employment rate and where, should be, reminds me a lot of certain communist bureaucrats deciding what the GDP of the country should be and passing a law saying "this year, the GDP will be x"... you just cannot fake reality. |
