A top comment on one of the most popular websites in the world is calling for the death of a politician based on no evidence whatsoever. Perhaps this is normal to you, but not to me, or any of the advertisers who pay money to advertise on Reddit. If you think that it's normal to call for the death of a politician based on no evidence of a crime, then perhaps other lower-quality websites may be a better fit for you, rather than Hacker News? |

You could just as easily be describing YouTube or Instagram comments, which regularly feature humanity at its worst and dumbest. Why would you expect Reddit to be any better, when it has millions of users?
Your second sentence is pure trolling and I will turn the same question over to you. Pointless, sanctimonious outrage doesn't belong on Hacker News.
