This doesn’t surprise me at all. I need a flu vaccine every year. We’re just rapidly responding/thinking this is out of the norm because we are trying to wait for our baseline infrastructure for taking care of sick people (nurses, group home staff, etc.) to meet capacity (of course, it might just not!)

If you're a healthy adult you do not need the flu vaccine. It's only 50% effective anyway. Additionally, there is little to no social pressure to get them. On the other hand, there is IMMENSE social pressure to get the covid shot. I don't want to live in a world where I am required to get two shots a year to remain employed and free to enter grocery stores. Especially since pharmaceutical companies are reliably known to manipulate governments and populations into taking more and more drugs of dubious value.
