You presume a push model. And compare it to a pull model (iframes). I think that is where the solutions are. The messages could be delivered as a simple XML feed. Your virtual home, or HUD knows where to place them. Through hyperlinks they know where to subscribe, or refresh, or get details. The messages don't need to know anything about placement and usage. |
