Thank you for sharing this. I had more fun using it than expected. It is too bad that this had to be removed. Do you have any plans to release the source? I would absolutely love to be able to host something like this locally to play around with.

Thanks for the positive response! Yeah, it’s a bummer that it got attacked. I guess that’s par for the course when dealing with anonymous content.
I’m hoping to revive this project at some point,
with a bigger focus on preventing abuse. I have some ideas in mind :)
As for releasing the source, I don’t have any plans to release the full stack. However, I may extract out the main part of the frontend that controls the pixel canvas and open source that so people can play around with it locally.
Probably going to take a bit of a break from this project before doing any of that though. Stay tuned!
The old /. friend and foe idea. You only see stuff from friends+ n degree of separation, and/or reverse for foes. Add in some meta modding based on the quality of one's pixel submissions. You might be on to something.
