A lot of my comfort with the old way of growing crops comes from the time it took to grow the crop, and see it change slowly over time. The other part of it was that these new human prompted crops were open for people to use, and once you got the grain from the farmer, nothing stops you from planting it yourself. Also, when we discuss food scarcity, why do we insist that technology will save us? It wont, the food scarcity problem is an socio-architectural and political problem more than a technological problem. |
