no, it probably won't cause a massive pump... For every seller there's a buyer.. who would be in the other side of the trade if tether is deemed worthless? A more probable scenario is that trading pairs against USDT will just get halted. |

Predominantly retail traders who placed limit orders and didn't react to changing market conditions as fast as bots/institutions. Perhaps also some speculators who believe USDT may be able to reclaim the peg.
