I read HN and links therein, BBC, and Reason. For big events like the US election I will scan CNN and Fox news to understand what retail coverage looks like, not really to get the news. I get a few newsletters specific to my industry but I generally don't read them unless they happen to be at the top of my inbox when I'm bored.
