For Tesla FSD you can pay a lump sum to unlock it permanently, or you can pay a monthly fee. When I did the math I recall it would take ~4.5 years to equal the lump sum, although they say to expect price increases on the monthly plan. Tesla also has a monthly fee to unlock rear heated seats in the Model 3. |

I didn't realize. This kind of thing is really lame. In my case it wouldn't matter at all but for some reason it really rubs me the wrong way.
