No, they won't. People will omit the .com and just shorthand it 'The Crypto Arena'

You don't wash 22 years of history of amazing sport moments happened in the Staples Center with money , not even 700M.

AT&T, Metlife, Gillette, Toyota... they put their name on their respective stadiums just after they were inaugurated, or a couple of years after at most.

Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan squared off at the Staples Center, not the Crypto.com arena.

That and millions of other trademark sport moments in the history of all the sport franchises who call that place their home (as well as the visiting teams)

okay, but never heard it being called that, the times change, sorry.

Or they'll ignore it and just say "The Lakers/Kings game". Unless you can do something like be a White Sox fan and make a Joan Cusack joke, or live in Tampa and call Tropicana Field "the Juice Box", stadium sponsors are purely a vanity project at this point.
The conversation with your newly introduced friend goes something like '...you know the Crypto Arena, thats where the next game is...'
