tbh I personally think in that episode Jerry Seinfeld illustrated quite well the awkwardness some people feel when discussing race and it was quite ahead of its time. On one hand he's guilty of everyday racism (and doesn't even notice it) and on the other he tries to be ridiculously cautious to the point of paternalism (avoiding saying "dinner reservations" to a native American). |
