Yup. And the pressure accumulates and manifest differently.

There are a lot of issues using the Like/View/Click/Upvote count as a feedback signal of what to learn, pay attention too and emulate. Also the whole imposed subscribe/follow model.

My impression is that the optimisation of social media for engagement amplifies the impact of bullying and increases social pressure.
