I currently split my time on a 2018 Dell XPS, 2018 Dell Precision, and a 2015 MacBook Pro.

The return to form on these new MacBooks has been refreshing - however, due to a lack of modularity on storage I believe I'll refrain from upgrading. Of all components, storage is guaranteed to wear out over time, and in terms of longevity, I'd like to not be forced for purchasing essentially a whole computer to simply replace storage.

For others who don't find this necessary in decision making, then I'd recommend investigating what would happen in the case of data loss on your devices.
