Adding syntactic sugar for properties to the language will cement the worse than ideal get/set naming convention to the language forever, while there are sure better abstractions that could be made instead (eg. records with withers) Mutable records, especially primitives are a pain in the ass for C#, so it is a bullet avoided. Immutable objects are much easier to optimize away, and are safer to use in concurrent code. |
