Like the example given in the article, I also take different routes from and to work regularly, with my bicycle. This habit developed naturally, I didn't really plan it. I was reflecting on why I do this, and your explanation of street continuation seems to be a better fit. When I start in either direction, I do not have a clear heading of the destination, as there is no line of sight, so the pointiness from the article makes less sense. I guess continuing forward on the same street feels getting there faster, as making a turn feels slow. |
