While Shellenberger is spot on on a lot of topics (I also have an issue with short-sighted, technology averse degrowthers who prioritize the impact on local birds over supporting building permits for battery car factories, wind farms and nuclear), only the tiny minority of his intellectual readers will actually get the subtlety of his point.
All the urban tank drivers will just take from books and titles like this that even respected climate scientists and environmental activists say it's all just not so bad...
