Time is a scarce resource. If you want to solve something, the most straightforward path is to attack the core of the problem. In the time that an average person spent to understand what a monad is, another average person may have already found a way to scale direct air capture by 10x or more. This does not mean one shouldn't study category theory; but one should study it for its own merit, not under the illusion that it is an effective way to "save the planet." |
