IMO, Facebook (or YT, or any big media company) even being in a position to “shut down free speech” is a predictable outcome of the total failure of net neutrality in the U.S. If everyone had sufficient bandwidth to host their own content from their home Internet, and ISPs were prohibited from also being media companies, free speech would be much stronger. |
