Listen, even if you disregard all of the privacy concerns and support of cancerous communities, Facebook is a shitty social network. The platform has decayed into a junk drawer that is legitimately terrible at the things it was originally designed for. It's bad at connecting you with people you know or might want to know. It's bad at showing you updates from your existing friends, and vice-versa. The site at one time felt cool and fun; it feels like AOL now.

Agreed, Twitter also brings out the worst of people in short schizophrenic vile without much thought. Reddit’s front page is full of outrage videos. Tiktok sucks people into tiniest echo chambers possible. YouTube comments section is completely insane.

Social media is great if it is limited to say 100 people. When you broadcast to millions, it is toxic.
