This seems pretty useful. Though I wonder, how much more efficient is it than using Snipping tool on Windows or preview on Mac?

We think it's at least 3-4x quicker and easier. You have to go through many steps, navigate cumbersome UI for annotating, get lost trying to locate the saved file..etc
