Unpopular opinion: Facebook is quite decent and gives sufficient controls over privacy to its users. Google on other hand is horrendous.

He? By how, showing a cookie window in EU and not even respecting the settings in there?

The privacy controls in-app are pretty good with regards to who you share your posts with, etc. but I don't think that's the same type of privacy that causes people to leave.
I think of that more as visibility than privacy.

I'm not concerned about which "friends" can see my posts, it's the platform hoovering up every keystroke.

Which in-app privacy controls can stop that?
