My parents are worth several million, they've spent their lives as a high school teacher/administrator/community college professor and an administrative assistant.

Some boomers were just able to buy houses and otherwise save for retirement because that's how the world used to work, it's crazy I know.

That still makes them part of the 1%

I think a lot of people get confused about the 1% and the .1% where the billionaires live.

Joe Manchin is not in the 1% by net worth either, He has a net worth of 7.6 Million[0] and you have to have a net worth of over 11 Million of be in the 1 %[1]
