If you think something is probably true, or close enough, and you present it as a fact you might be seen as an expert. If you qualify it, such as "as I understand it ...", you will not. I think the latter is seen in our age as a sign of weakness, since you are not expected to have a sense of shame if you are proved wrong. Sadly. |
