I am not signing up for that mailing list because I don't know you and have no reason to trust you. Instead, I'll answer your question here.

I don't use job portals because I literally don't get paid enough to deal with having to jump through hoops like uploading my resume as a DOCX file and pasting a plain-text version into a web form.

Nor am I willing to put up with inflated requirements and missing information like what a company is prepared to pay me to work for them. I'd rather talk with people who know me when I want a new job, and bypass portals, HR, and the rest of the bullshit.
