The difference is that under capitalism, these types of resource shortages are so rare that we all freak when they occur. The rest of the 99.99% of the time, commodities have never been as cheap or as plentiful. Under every other system, people just came to expect shortages of basic essentials like food and fuel. It may not be perfect, but it’s the least worst system we have. |
