Billions of dollars have been invested into ARM. It's truly amazing that RISC-V has advanced as far as it has in spite of the competition being so much more mature and developed. My expectation is that RISC-V will become significantly more competitive as the rate of investment increases. For ARM and x86, the iterative cycles between releases of technology are shorter and faster. It will be exciting to see RISC-V when it achieves that state. |
