A brief history about myself first..I was born in India..grew up in the middle east and then moved to the u.s. about 12 years ago and have been a citizen of the u.s. for about 5 years.

Having said that, I don't think American's understand how fortunate they are. This is the place where we get clean water and electricity 24/7, women can drive, people can criticize their govt. and not be killed for it and there is an awesome mix of culture and opportunity. The current state of the U.S doesn't bother as much. This is still the place I want to be and raise my children.

I don't think America has lost it's stand in the world. People may judge America but given the chance most people across the world would want to move here :)
