1.) Use https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zram 2.) Setup your logging accordingly 3.) Let this setup write what changed only once per hour, or a few times per day to solid storage. 4.) If that doesn't suit your needs and you can live with only 4GB RAM, get one of the about a hand full to a dozen boards which do have M.2/MiniPCIE from other vendors, and maybe enjoy faster crypto. 5.) If 4. applies, still do 1! 6.) Wonder why it lasts so long a few years later with a grin. 7.) Alternatively hot-glue/duct-tape an USB-Keychain to a free USB-Port, and still do 1.
