Thank you so much for your input! All good points and I'm taking notes:-). There are a lot of UI/UX improvements could be made on MAL or anilist. Through my research, the main reasons why users prefer to stay with MAL are (1) largest and up-to-date database; (2) active forum. It's going to be hard to make a ten-year MAL user to switch anyway. Chrome extension is one of the ideas for user acquisition. A website/app is needed to root users. But maybe there is a different angle from list-tracking... |
