Wasn't DOSBOX already running on linux, I use it to play games, don't know if there is something that is missing.

I think this does it the other way around. Now you can run Linux commands on your DOS server.

One of the first ECN trading platforms, Island ECN, written by Josh Levine, ran on DOS. So I guess you could definitely say that was a “DOS server.”
