Absolutely this. HR groups now use automated tools to search resumes and filter candidates, which has led to a lot of keyword optimization of resumes. Mediocre talents with optimized resumes in up in interviews where I then screen using the most basic questions. And the questions aren't an attempt to be brutal, the questions will be around platforms and coding that they've directly mentioned in their resume. If they can't answer basic questions around things they've listed in their resume, then you know it is puffery.
