Every now and again I look into this “x causes rise in suicide rate in young females” nd every time it ends up being only visible in the US. Last time i looked into it, people where blaming snapchat, but snapchat is available outside the us, so why do we only see the rise in the us?

So I’m curious if this was also seen outside of US? The root cause might not be social media itself, but just the fact that these apps allow amplification of unrelated damaging cultural aspects of youth as a female in the US.
