For a site like HN which is run by YC, it's surprising to get so many comments like these. Making no value judgements, this is the startup model, investors know not every bet will win, so do founders. No one knows the future. It's often quoted that 90% of startups fail, they are hard. For every nine "how did they not see that coming"s, you'll get one "how did no one see that opportunity" eg. your Facebooks, Airbnbs, etc. |
