I guess to some extent I can understand some defensiveness of Leibniz, given that he probably deserves a ton of the credit we normally give Newton (and there was actually some bad blood between the two). But Gödel is incredibly famous, isn't he? I don't see why there's a need to give him more credit. Also it is weird that this article doesn't have a couple paragraphs on Von Neumann, he's underappreciated and also very cool. |
