gradually more people are shifting to BT accessories: band / smart watch, BT speakers / earbuds, etc.

still would need the phone to do all the heavy lifting: comms, battery, processing. and also need the large screen for ads: that's the money

might be possible to have calls-only capability using just a wrist-device and BT earbuds. But there's no real estate to pump ads, so this will never happen. sad.
