This depends entirely on what you let pass for productivity culture. The Ford "scientific management" stuff falls under your description, but it also doesn't work. It doesn't promote productivity, it promotes waste. Look into how the lean ideas promote productivity. Hint: it involves freedom, exploration, curiosity, and creativity -- quite explicitly. Those are the things from which true, lasting productivity stem. |
