I worked at a small startup that got acquired by Intuit. It killed the company culture, the products and just sucked the life out of us post acquisition.

Intuit is the slowest, most comfortable dev dept I've ever seen. Everything takes forever to get done. Even small projects take 3-6 months. They would ask us for a feature and budget 6 months and we would have it done in 1-2 weeks.

At first they looked at us like rockstars. Then their culture started getting into our organization and we slowed down to their level. Everyone left when they wanted to move us out of our cool downtown offices to a space in one of their big suburban office parks, way outside the city.

Almost everyone left when that was announced.

TLDR; Intuit is an awesome place to work if you want to hide, do nothing and get paid a truckload of money.
