Why October 7? A quick google search shows it's Revolution day in Russia, but I'm afraid I don't understand the relation.

^ If you are talking about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_Revolution that's Nov 7th / October 25 on the calendar system Russia was using at the time.
