There's a difference between "hustle" and "hustle culture". Most reasonable people don't hate people who work hard. That's their prerogative. "Hustle culture", or the expectation that anything less than "hustling" is invalid or invaluable is what people hate. They don't hate people who decide that they want to devote their spare time to a new startup, personal project, or whatever, just the (rather common) attitude and culture of people who subscribe that lifestyle. |
