I've always eaten a lot of meat, and had cognitive dissonance about headlines like this. If I didn't eat much meat in a given day, I'd just feel like garbage. When I did keto, it wasn't a super difficult adjustment for me after the first week (which sucks for almost everyone). It felt closer to how I always wanted to be, to be honest, though I think keto is a little too into fat. Well, I learned recently I have low B12 levels via a blood test. B12 is found in meats, fish, and dairy. We'll see if supplementation reduces my carnivore desires. Just a single data point but it seemed salient for the discussion. |
