In Lebanon, there’s still a considerable armenian community that came over from the 1916 when the genocide happened. They are very successful but almost always speak Armenian on top of the other 3 languages lebanese speak (lebanese, english, french). They’re generally fluent but its not uncommon to detect an accent in armenian -lebanese even in recent generations. |
