The problem with that approach is that tuning it is hard, i.e. it's rather harder to ensure that the knob somewhat linearly adjust from "not toasted" to "black" and the useable control range isn't just a tiny part at one end of the full range. Luckily changing software doesn't (usually) require a solder iron. |
