Honestly, you can't even have a good real-time conversation in normal conferencing software with the audio lag which forced delayed reactions, and people taking over each other. I already don't turn on my Webcam for meetings, that way I can get work done while other people talk about stuff that doesn't concern me. Why make it goofier with avatars and cumbersome headsets? Seems like more of a barrier than a boon. Is there some use case I'm missing where this is likely to actually be super awesome? I'm just not seeing it right now in a work setting.
