I've realized that most of the movies or books that stuck with me had some thought-provoking concept as a hook. This is independent of my enjoyment as I would recommend a movie/book I didn't like if I thought it was interesting enough. Some examples: * Westworld Season 1: Bicameralism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicameralism_(psychology)) * Arrival (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrival_(film)): Sapir–Whorf hypothesis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linguistic_relativity) * Babel-17: Sapir–Whorf hypothesis * Tenet: Entropy * Blindsight (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blindsight_(Watts_novel)): Consciousness * Children Of Time: Consciousness/Upliftment (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uplift_(science_fiction)) Which concepts would you like to see a movie or book plot revolve around? |

- Rearing of Post-human, A.I. minded robots to be a 'better-people' and how they, in turn, grow beyond us and yet course correct our ego & biological shortcomings.
- Drone swarms negating conflict: No human-aimed weapons, no melee combat, just instance particle-sized drones threatening instance death for any unambiguos attempt to use violence. Not written as a dystopia but an actual 'violence/force'-free existence where persuasion and peer validation of facts & arguments resolve conflicts.
