You might be giving too much credit to your ability to pay attention to your surroundings. It is possible that looking around as a passenger might actually increases risk. There's no way to tell other than looking at the data. Personally, I tend to turn off things like lane keeping because I end up having to babysit them more than I would like. It doesn't always read the lanes correctly, though I have not tried Tesla's technology yet. |
