All very good examples of the increased difficulty of life for the group of people you are talking about, @wolfretcrap. I wonder if this overall difficulty shapes a person's attitude to be more risk-tolerant? Like, "I haven't died yet from XYZ, and I might die from ABC tomorrow, so therefore I am comfortable participating in risky behavior PQR today!" ? |
