This is cool, but I feel like I should be able to select my country of origin immediately when I select the destination I’m interested in, rather than having to reselect each time I explore a visa.

I don't even see where you can change your origin citizenship… Neither on the front page or on each destinations.

You can adjust your origin country on the tourist visa page. On mobile just refresh the page.
