> Oh ffs are you even aware that MS didn't originally build GitHub? Purchasing a popular product is definitely qualifies for the "embrace" part of the strategy. But that's not unique to MS - AWS and Google follow similar playbooks, as does almost any large company that provide a platform-like product. The goal is to make the platform as sticky as possible for as many customers as possible. |
