I’m no expert in all things Apple, but this whole thing seems, to me at least, pretty un-Apple like. It would be easier to rationalize if this was actually a directive from, say, a certain large nation who said “if you want to continue to do business here, implement this capability” and what we’re seeing is Apple trying to spin it as a feature or in some sort of positive light.
